The 2 red wires that go to some sort of fuse looking thing if that is not working with it cause complete no power issue? Numbers read 1305 ksd 40lc 70

For model number PVM9195Sf1SS

Hello Ty, thank you for your question. Yes, the part you're speaking of is the TOC thermostat. If this part fails, or "blows" it can cause the unit to have no power at all. The Magnetron TCO WB27X11095 works similar to a thermostat, when the magnetron tube gets too hot, the circuit will "open" and eliminate the power to the "high side" cooking components. On some brands and models, the Magnetron TCO is a "one shot" fuse. and when that circuit "opens" you have to replace the TCO thermostat. I hope this helps!

My microwave runs but does not heat, soften or defrost. What part do I get? tco magnetron or the diode? Really need it fixed.

For model number jvm7195df1bb

Hello Debbie, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing both parts as they both can cause this issue when defective. If you have a multi meter you can test them. The magnetron should have a reading of less than 1 ohm resistance across the two terminals, and an "open" circuit between each terminal and chassis ground. The diode/rectifier should have a resistance reading in one direction only, no resistance, or resistance in both directions indicate a faulty diode. You will have to make sure that the appliance is unplugged before starting your repair. Be aware that the high voltage capacitor in your appliance may still retain a charge even after being unplugged. It is recommended that an experienced professional should handle the internal electrical parts inside of your microwave. You will have to remove the Vent Grille and the outer control panel so that you can get to the little metal grille that covers the top right hand area where your diode is. This is where you have to be extremely careful as the diode is very close to the high voltage capacitor. To avoid getting shocked you can use a part of needle nose pliers but ONLY if they have an insulated handle. You can touch the metal part to the high voltage capacitor to release any held charge. Be very careful not to touch any of the metal as you are doing this. If you feel that you are not able to do a repair like this, I do recommend that you call a technician. Once you have made sure the area is safe for you to work, you can then unscrew the diode from it's place. Hope this helps!

Hi, Microwave lost all power. Ran through the wiring diagram, and tested resistance for the magnetron tco, and it reads open. Planned on replacing that since the main fuses were fine. My has 1801 ksd-40lc 70 on its base. Is this one compatible? Thanks ahead of time.

For model number JVM1950DR1CC

Hello Larry, thank you for your question. Try resetting the control by opening and closing the door and pressing "START." If that won't work, you may want to test the door switches to see if one or more of those have gone bad. If the door switches are tested and are functioning correctly, the next step would be to replace the touch pad control panel, or the control board. I hope this helps!

I need instructions to replace part # ps2370185 thank you

For model number JVM6175EF1ES

Hello Bob, thank you for your question. Here are some instructions on how to replace that part. 1) Unplug the unit 2) If the unit is mounted, remove it from under the cabinet 3) Remove the vent grille 4) Remove glass turntable and support 5) Tip the microwave and remove the bottom panel 6) Disconnect wire harness and remove the harness from twist retainer and fully remove bottom panel 7) Put microwave to up right position and remove the cabinet 8) Release the electrical charge in the capacitor - do this by using a pair of needle nosed pliers with insulated handle and touch both terminals simultaneously. be careful not to touch the metal portion of the tool when doing this. 9) Disconnect the wire harness from the magnetron and remove the magnetron by unthreading the mounting screws (Philips head screwdriver) 10) Disconnect wires from thermal protector. 11) Un thread the screws holding the thermal protector and remove the old component 12) Install the new thermal protector by positioning it to the magnetron and thread the screw to secure. 13) Reverse the steps to attach the cabinet, bottom panel, and the grill and remount the unit. I hope this helps!

I went to use my microwave tonight and the whole thing went out. I checked the main breaker and it was good. Would it be the magnetron that went out or the thermometer fuse?

For model number ge jvm7195df1ww

Hello Brian, thank you for inquiring. If your microwave will not turn on, you will want to consider the Secondary Door Switch part PS237421, the Monitor Door Switch part PS237422, or the Magnetron part PS2370172. We hope this helps.
